Just a few days before his sudden death after a short, serious illness, Bernd called me to ask when we could release this single.
As agreed, around this day, much to his delight.
With my band The Fisherman and his Soul, I met Bernd in person in Kassel at the beginning of September this year. However, we have been in good contact by phone for much longer, and conversations often lasted very long due to the treasure trove of his anecdotes.
What a friendly guy he was!
So positive and optimistic, despite considerable health-related limitations. Unfortunately, we will no longer realize his idea to record a whole album together (at least in this world).

We have agreed with Bernd's family that all proceeds from downloads of this single will be donated to Deutsche Gesellschaft für Muskelerkrankungen (DGM) (German Society for Muscular Diseases).
